What Is The Manufacturing Process of Roasted Peanuts?

The delicious taste of roasted peanuts is loved by many people, but what is the manufacturing process of roasted peanuts? Here we will introduce you to the main processing steps of roasted peanuts.

Step 1: Color Sorting

Color sorting is the first step in peanut processing, and its main purpose is to remove undesirable peanuts and impurities and ensure the quality of the raw material.

Raw material receipt and initial cleaning: After the peanuts are transported from the farm to the plant, they first undergo an initial cleaning process to remove soil, stones and other large impurities.

Use of color sorters: Color sorters use photovoltaic technology to separate high quality peanuts from inferior peanuts by differences in color and shape.

Step 2: Roasting

Roasting is a critical step in enhancing the flavor and texture of peanuts and is accomplished through proper temperature and time control.

Preparation of the continuous roasting machine: The continuous roaster is a commonly used piece of equipment with temperature control and a conveyor belt system that allows for continuous and even roasting of peanuts.

Preheating: Preheat the roasting machine to a set temperature, usually between 150-180 degrees celsius, adjusted according to the type of peanuts and roasting requirements.

Feeding: The color-selected peanuts are evenly fed into the roaster, and the conveyor system will gradually feed the peanuts into the roasting area.

Roasting: Peanuts are processed at high temperatures in the roaster for a duration of typically 20-30 minutes. During this time, the temperature and time need to be constantly monitored to ensure that each batch of peanuts is roasted to a consistent level.

Cooling: After roasting, the peanuts need to be cooled quickly to prevent over-roasting. Cooling is usually accomplished through a cold air system to ensure optimal taste and texture of the peanuts.

Step 3: Seasoning

Seasoning is the final step in enhancing the flavor of the peanut and is done according to different taste needs.

Seasoning machine preparation: Seasoning machines typically include a drum and a spray system that evenly covers the peanut surface with seasoning.

Seasoning preparation: Seasonings are prepared according to product requirements, including salt, sugar, spices, etc.

Seasoning spraying: The roasted and cooled peanuts are fed into the seasoning machine and tumbled in the drum while the seasoning is sprayed. The spraying system can precisely control the amount of seasoning to ensure that each peanut has an even and consistent flavor.

Uniform mixing: The peanuts are continuously rolled in the drum, and the seasoning mixes well with the peanuts to achieve uniform seasoning.

Of course there are differences in the processing of different types of roasted peanuts, but each step is completed by specialized peanut processing equipment, which ensures consistent quality and flavor.
