1. Raw material procurement and preparation

Chili pepper selection:

The factory selects appropriate chili pepper varieties according to market demand and product positioning. Common varieties of chili peppers include red chili peppers, green chili peppers and so on. The quality of chili pepper directly affects the taste and color of chili sauce.

Raw material inspection:

Purchased chili peppers need to undergo strict quality testing to ensure that there is no pesticide residue, mold or insect damage. Other raw materials such as garlic, ginger, salt, sugar, etc. also need to go through the appropriate quality inspection.

Cleaning & Handling:

Wash the chilies and other auxiliary ingredients to remove sediment and impurities. Chili peppers need to be de-stoned and de-seeded after washing to ensure the delicate texture of the chili sauce. (Some chili sauces choose not to remove the seeds)

2. Preparation of Chili Sauce

Grinding & Mixing:

The processed chili peppers are ground in a grinder along with the auxiliary ingredients until a fine paste is formed. Modern factories tend to use high-speed colloid mills to ensure even mixing and consistent taste.

Heating & Seasoning:

The mixed chili sauce is heated and cook, adding salt, sugar, vinegar and other seasonings in the process. This step not only enhances the flavor of the chili paste, but also serves as a sterilizing agent.

3. Filling and Packaging

Filling:

The cooked chili sauce is filled into sterilized containers through the filling equipment. The filling process needs to ensure aseptic operation to avoid contamination.

Sealing:

Seal the chili sauce immediately after filling to prevent the entry of microorganisms. Common sealing methods include screw cap and pressure cap.

Cooling & Inspection:

After sealing, the chili sauce needs to be cooled to maintain its flavor and quality. The product is re-inspected after cooling to ensure that there is no leakage of filling and sealing.

4. Labeling and Packaging

Labeling:

Label the bottle, the label should indicate the product name, ingredient list, production date, shelf life and other information. Label design should be beautiful and generous, in line with market demand.

Outsourcing:

Pack the labeled chili sauce into cartons or plastic boxes according to specifications for shock-proof and moisture-proof packaging to ensure that it is not damaged during transportation.

The chili sauce making process involves a number of links, each of which is crucial to the quality and taste of the final product.
